Pinion Preload Shims

There are 20 pinion preload shims available from Land Rover ranging from 24.25mm to 24.60mm, it is not cost effective for us to supply the shim kit in this way instead we supply one shim machined down to 24.00mm and 5 thinner shims, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.5. You will need to use the 24mil shim and 1 or more of the 5 thinner shims to achieve the desired preload.

Pinion Height Shims

We supply 8 shims, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 1.9. Use the required number of shims to achieve the desired pinion height.
